What was covered

Great power competitors such as China and Russia have increased their military capabilities over the past 20 years, impacting how the U.S. military procures, builds, and deploys critical readiness components.

In 2018, the U.S. National Defense Strategy, aiming to restore its competitive edge, required streamlined contracting and purchasing processes backed by a secure supply chain.

As technology advances rapidly, how are 21st-century Navy and Marine Corps teams preparing for future threats and crisis response operations? How is the Pentagon procuring, designing and deploying amphibious warships, aircraft, weapons and sensors? How has the pandemic affected the defense industrial base supply chain, and what are defense communities doing to prevent future disruptions?

On March 18, The Hill will convene members of Congress, defense and national security leaders, and more to explore how the Navy and Marine Corps can maintain military readiness domestically and abroad.

Key Topics:

What agile event programs are and why they're essential

Strategies and tools for building agile event marketing

How to scale agile event programs without losing brand integrity or valuable data

Steps you can take right now to introduce agile event marketing into your business

Grab your favorite snack and tune in.

About

Improvements in personal diabetes management continue to better the quality of life and care for millions of Americans.

However, innovations in technologies like insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors are not equitably accessible, and disparities in race, education, income, and location can prevent some people with diabetes from receiving the care they need.

With some studies suggesting the diabetes technology disparity gap has widened for American children in recent years, how is the medical community making these essential tools available for everyone?

How can lawmakers prioritize equitable advancements in research, detection and care? And how can bias be eliminated in clinical trials, patient-physician relationships, marketing and more?

On November 4, join The Hill for a discussion with policymakers, advocates and healthcare professionals to explore how disparities in diabetes caregiving and technology access impact vulnerable communities amid evolving population demographics.

More than 34 million Americans have diabetes, and another 90 million Americans are at higher risk of developing the disease. Diabetes is a costly, chronic condition that requires 24-7 self-management using a complex treatment regimen to keep blood sugar levels in a healthy range. Today too many people in the diabetes community struggle to access and afford needed care. The Diabetes Leadership Council unites former leaders of national diabetes organizations to drive policy solutions that improve the lives of all people impacted by diabetes. Our leaders come from different states, backgrounds and professions, but we are united in our passion for advocacy and our shared commitment to breaking down barriers to effective, affordable and equitable diabetes care.
